Many times a student is referred to the courts by school personnel. The “School to Prison Pipeline” is a phenomenon in our society which is shown by the statistics of incarcerated youth who can’t read or write and should have been identified as a student with special needs. Skills deficits behavior is a reality, because children typically do not go to school to be disruptive, there is always an underlying reason why a behavior ensues. We work with the parents, schools, and court personnel to identify the cause and effect, with the goal of saving a child’s future.
